Our company collaborates with esteemed universities, such as Politecnico di Milano’s Department of Energy and the University of Pavia’s Department of Chemistry, along with a team of highly specialized technical experts led by our R&D manager, Ing. Gustavo Bruno Torlasco, the inventor of the patented Thermo Mechanical Dynamic Cracking (TMDC) technology.

In 2024, we achieved an international patent for TMDC technology (International Publication Number WO2023073532), and we are currently in the process of completing a TMDC pilot plant in partnership with Multiutility a2a SpA.

The TMDC system represents a significant technological advancement in plastic waste recycling, as it adds value to waste fractions without contaminating the environment or emitting greenhouse gases harmful to the climate. The TMDC process allows for the production of intermediate hydrocarbons at a lower cost than extracted oil, and it is free from asphalts, sulfur, and heavy metals.

Our technology can effectively treat plastic materials, including plastic waste and their non-selectable fraction—PLASMIX—producing aliphatic hydrocarbons and/or aromatic hydrocarbons according to buyer specifications.

PLASMIX is a fraction of plastic waste that cannot currently be processed through mechanical recycling, leading it to be directed towards energy recovery incinerators. However, while energy recovery can generate energy, it also results in greenhouse gas emissions and particulates, unlike the TMDC process.
